Documentation
Everything a developer needs to install TraceLead and everything a privacy lead needs to approve it. These pages are generated from the same files our engineers work from.
-
Installing the snippet
The script tag, hidden fields, consent call, page API and failure behaviour.
-
Google Tag Manager
Installing the snippet as a Custom HTML tag or from the container export, and signalling consent from GTM.
-
Consent integration
Consent-manager presets for Cookiebot, OneTrust, CookieYes, Complianz, iubenda, Usercentrics and Consent Mode, or your own call.
-
WordPress
The plugin, and hidden fields for Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms and Elementor Pro.
-
Integrations
Every form builder, website platform and CRM, with how far each one is tested.
-
HubSpot forms
Contact properties, hidden fields and the form API script that carry the attribution into HubSpot.
-
CRM fields
Creating fields for the attribution in HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho and Dynamics, and the mapping presets.
-
Webflow
Hidden inputs in a Webflow Form Block, through an Embed element or a custom attribute.
-
Unbounce and Leadpages
The tag and hidden fields on landing pages built with Unbounce or Leadpages.
-
Wix and Squarespace
Adding the tag, and why their own form blocks need an embedded form instead.
-
Typeform, Jotform and other embedded forms
Passing the attribution to an iframe form through its URL.
-
Channel classification
How UTMs, click IDs and referrers become source, medium and channel.
-
Site configuration contract
What the public configuration endpoint returns and how it is cached.
-
What is sent to TraceLead
The session and lead beacons, what is stored, what never is, and retention.
-
Contact clicks
Phone, email, SMS and WhatsApp link clicks counted by channel beside your leads, without the number or address.
-
Lead webhooks
Each new lead's attribution to Zapier, Make or your endpoint, signed with HMAC-SHA256.
-
Client reports
Report links and scheduled report emails for clients, with your name and logo, carrying counts only.
-
Reporting API
Read-only JSON for sites, stats and lead attribution, with Sheets and Looker Studio examples.
-
Organisations, members and roles
Signing up, invitations, the three roles, seats per plan and what happens on a downgrade.
-
Content Security Policy
The two allowances the snippet needs and how to handle the inline stub.
Integration status
TraceLead fills hidden inputs on any form that lives on your own page, so the attribution goes wherever the form already posts. A builder is marked tested only once it passes the same automated browser tests as plain HTML forms; a guide is documented but not automatically tested.
